Hola ,
Well, the MTC is very scheduled,
but not in too much of an annoying way because of the fact that pretty much
most of the schedule is class time. About 5 times a week we are in class for
about 10 hours a day either doing language, gospel stuff, or our 3 hour block
of personal study, comp study, and language study. We plan at the end of our
day our activities for the next day but most the time we just read off our
schedule so we can know what we are supposed to do.
The food is actually quite good
here! There is a lot of it and I am gaining a little weight, but by the end I
will probably almost way 180-190 and that isn't a joke. I played basketball one
day, and threw a Frisbee another day with Elder Harrison but now we just go
lift weights every day and run on the elliptical. It is all good for me.
The language is coming. I don't
understand a whole lot yet, but I am working on it. I can say a prayer and bear
testimony on some things . I can read it pretty well but I don't always understand
what I am reading.
We taught Tekimau (our investigator
otherwise known as Sister Clark) a few different discussions and things went
pretty good. But it is hard to get to know them unless they taetae n te Imitang
(speak english ha) which she wouldn't do for us.
Clothes all fit good. Not my suit
pants, but I rarely have to wear those so it is pretty nice. I wear my keens
most days just for the heck of it and they are quite comfortable. The only days
we really have to wear church shoes are like Sundays Tuesdays and Friday
mornings when we go to the temple.
Elder Harrison is from Spanish Fork
Utah. And we have an Elder Darm in my district that is from Sacramento
California! He was stoked when I told him about Jack Clawson being called to serve in Sacramento.. He said Jack will
probably be serving in two wards, one in his language and one in English.
The camera is way legit. I take
pictures of flowers all the time and people make fun of me, till they see them.
Then they finally understood how cool they look.
Also everyone in my entire district
thinks that Perry is a small village with like 20 people all of which are
farmers... Good stuff.
I forgot to mention that President Russell M Nelson came and
spoke to us Tuesday! It was broadcasted to all the MTCs and I sang in the choir
for it!
Elder Dinsdale
Have a great l week,
and I will write you next Friday!
